Melinda Weekes-Laidlow a social change architect with nearly two decades of experience building the collaborative capacity of individuals, organizations and networks towards more effective, inclusive and systemic social change. She is a sought after consultant for leading institutions such as Columbia University, Grantmakers In the Arts, Novo Foundation, and National Alliance for Media Arts and Culture. In 2015, Echoing Green invited Melinda to become its first-ever Social Entrepreneur in Residence to support the launch of her racial equity driven impact fund, Beautiful Ventures. Previously, Melinda was a senior executive with Race Forward: The Center for Racial Justice Innovation and a lead trainer with the Interaction Institute for Social Change. She serves on the Advisory Board for Wesleyan University’s Patricelli Center for Social Entrepreneurship. A native New Yorker who flows between the Big Apple and the Big Peach (Atlanta), Melinda holds degrees from Wesleyan University, New York University School of Law and Harvard University.
