Shaady Salehi is Managing Director of Distribution and Audience Development at ITVS, a nonprofit that funds, presents, and distributes award-winning documentaries on public television and beyond. In her role, Shaady oversees a department focused on multi-platform distribution, community engagement, social issue campaigns, and public television relations. Prior to joining ITVS, she was Executive Director of Active Voice, a pioneering organization that uses film to advance social change. During her 11-year tenure there, Shaady designed and led dozens of campaigns using films as a catalyst for change.
Her writing has been featured in The Huffington Post UK and she has spoken at convenings nationwide, including SXSW and the Aspen Ideas Festival. Shaady also serves on the board of Let It Ripple, a nonprofit that experiments with collaborative filmmaking for the common good. She has an M.S. in Strategic Communications from Columbia University and an M.A. in Anthropology from UC Davis.
